Friends, if you are also troubled by dry skin, if your face feels dry and stretched, then this article is for you. Because a few years ago, my skin was also very dry. So dry that if I forgot to apply cold cream or moisturizer one day, my skin would crack. It felt like I hadn’t bathed.

My skin was so dry that anyone could draw on my skin with a nail. Winter came and my lips didn’t crack, it just couldn’t happen. But today, look, it’s perfect. In fact, whenever I meet someone, they think my skin is oily. Actually, 4 years ago, I had a chance to meet an old Vaidya. When I told him about my problem, he told me to do four things.

It is because of these four things that my skin has become quite good today. And I want to share these four things with you today. This article is going to be very honest and useful. So let’s start without any delay.
Hello friends, welcome to Dastaan E Hind Hindi. Friends, the Vaidya I met was very old but a profound scholar of Ayurveda. His experience and understanding of Ayurveda is very deep.

Here are the four key steps that helped me overcome dry skin:
Ditch the Soap, Embrace Ubtan
When I told him about my dry skin problem, the first thing he said was that from today onwards, stop using soap. It was very odd for me because I have been used to bathing with soap since childhood. But then I understood that daily use of soap is a big reason why I am not getting relief from dry skin problem.
Because soap, or any such thing that creates foam, soap bubbles, cleanses the skin but also dries it out. He said, use ubtan instead of soap.

Ubtan means your gram flour, turmeric or rice flour or mung gram lentil powder. He said to keep a bowl in the bathroom and fill a box with ubtan. Whenever you want to eat, mix curd in it and use it to clean your body and face. Initially, I had some difficulty, but within a few days, I started feeling that my skin had improved a bit. And friends, dermatologists also agree that most of the commercial soaps in the market contain harsh alcohol and some chemicals that strip the essential oils present in the skin layer, making the skin dry.
On the other hand, rubbing ubtan on the body removes the accumulated dirt from the skin, but because it is not soap, it means there is no foam, so it does not remove the oil present in the skin. And see, for those with dry skin, it is very important to retain oil. Rather, when a person with dry skin applies any ubtan mixed with curd, two things happen.

One, curd is cold, so it heals the inflammation in the skin. You understand that it is the internal inflammation that increases the problem of dry skin. Second, curd is oily, so it fulfills the deficiency of oil in the body of a person with dry skin. See, even today, I don’t bathe with soap, I only bathe with ubtan.
Here, I have ubtan in one box, curd in one bottle and this coconut shell. You can use any bowl instead. So before bathing, I mix a little curd in it. And a little ubtan. Ubtan mainly contains gram flour and a little turmeric is mixed in it.
Keep the turmeric less, otherwise it will leave yellowness on the towel. Gram flour does not leave any color. Just mix this ubtan with your fingers and your soap is ready. Friends, the small particles of gram flour act as a mild exfoliator, which cleanses the skin very well but does not dry it out, rather the curd moisturizes it.
I buy curd once a week and put it in it, which lasts for the whole week. The more sour the curd is, the more beneficial it is for the skin. Rest, you can also keep it in the fridge. If you find it difficult to use curd, you can also apply ubtan mixed with water. But it is certain that if you start bathing with ubtan instead of soap, you will get a lot of relief from the problem of dry skin. Then you can make ubtan of gram flour, rice flour or whatever you like.
Nowadays, readymade body ubtans are also available in the market, you can also use them. Brother, while bathing, you understood how to use it, but sometimes you have to wash your face, what to do then? The first thing is that a person with dry skin avoids washing his face repeatedly because he knows that after washing his face, he cannot do without a moisturizer. But whenever you have to wash your face, you can use this same ubtan at that time.
So to wash your face, first wet your face. Then take a spoonful of this ubtan on your hand. Mix it well. And apply it all over your face. Just two. That’s it, face wash is done. Friends, if you stop using soap and face wash and start using ubtan, then only that much is understood that half the work is done. You don’t need any separate remedy. This ubtan is a remedy in itself. It will give a lot of relief to your skin. Its oil will remain intact. So the first thing is that he got me to quit my soap and face wash.
Moisturize Dry Skin with Natural Oils
The second thing I did was that I stopped applying cream after bathing. But it’s not that I don’t moisturize my skin. I can’t work without it. I just started moisturizing my skin with oil instead of cream. And I can definitely say that this is the best thing for people with dry skin.
You think, basically skin is moisturized with oil only. In fact, if you see, the base of any moisturizing cream you buy from the market is oil. Just to make its creamy texture, different chemicals are added to it.
Now, applying cream moisturizes the skin, but at the same time, chemicals also damage the skin a little. A study found that artificial fragrances added to skin products cause reactions in the skin, which makes the skin dry. You can apply any oil on your face, whether it is coconut oil, sesame oil, almond oil, heme seed oil. I am not at all particular about which oil to apply, just oil should be. Like nowadays I am applying almond rogan oil. Many companies make it.
You can also get coconut oil from any grocery store, it is also cheap and because it solidifies in winter, if you put it in a small box, it feels like cream. You can also use it as a face moisturizer. Brother, coconut oil is comedogenic, it blocks skin pores. Yes, according to some modern studies, coconut oil blocks skin pores, but some studies say that coconut oil is very good for your skin. By the way, I have applied coconut oil a lot on my face. I never felt that my skin pores were getting blocked or pimples were coming out.

In fact, when I was in the South, there were many friends from the Kerala side, they used to tell that even today in their house, coconut oil is applied on the face. So it’s okay, you can try it. If it doesn’t suit you, apply almond oil, sesame oil, ghee or any other face oil. The main point is to avoid creams. I can tell you from my own experience that to moisturize your face, start using oil instead of cream. In two months, you will feel your skin dryness decreasing.
Indulge in Regular Body Massage
The third thing he told me very emphatically was body massage. Friends, Ayurveda has many benefits of Abhyanga, that is, massaging your own body. It slows down the aging of your skin, increases blood circulation throughout the body.
For those with dry skin, body massage is no less than a boon. But the person thinks who will do it. Some people run away from oil itself. But friends, it takes hardly 10 minutes. First of all, heat the oil slightly on the gas. It will take only 10 seconds.
Check once by putting your finger in. Then, like me, I spread an old towel on the bed so that the bedsheet does not get dirty. Then first take a little oil and apply it to your navel, both nostrils and then both ears. Then take a little oil and apply it on your arms.
While massaging, the movement of your hands should always be towards your heart. Massage the wrists in a circular motion. After massaging the arms, we will massage the face. Apply oil everywhere on the face.
Massage behind the ears like this. This relaxes the mind. Move your hands upwards. That’s it, your facial yoga is done. If you do this daily, your face will not sag, wrinkles will not appear quickly. Then take oil and massage your chest and stomach. The stomach should be massaged in a circular motion like this. According to Ayurveda, massaging the stomach in this way strengthens the digestive system.

After this, take a little oil and apply it on your left knee, rotate it in a circle and then massage the entire leg with oil. Now because the heart is towards the top, give more emphasis towards the top. The calf muscles should be massaged well. I told in one article how activating the calf muscles normalizes blood sugar and blood pressure. Then similarly massage the other leg as well. People who massage their knees and legs regularly, their grease remains and there is no pain.
After that sit down and now massage the feet. Foot massage is considered very important in Ayurveda. Very small and subtle nerves are spread throughout our body from our feet. Massaging the soles of the feet well reduces body heat, improves eyesight and relaxes the mind. Also massage the upper side of your feet, on the nails. Then just run your hand once again on the entire legs. Now massage your back a little too. Do as much as your hand reaches.
Nourish Your Body from Within
Friends, for dry skin, you should definitely eat 2-3 tablespoons of ghee daily, pouring it over your vegetables. But which ghee? Not the one that is widely sold in the market under the name of pure ghee. Real ghee is the one made from the milk of indigenous cows. Curd is made from this milk, and then butter is extracted from the curd using the bilona method.

A2 Gir ghee from Rosier Foods is one such authentic ghee in the Indian market. This ghee is made using 100% Ayurvedic methods. Curd is made from the milk of Gir cows, and then butter is extracted from the curd using the bilona method. The butter is then cooked on a low flame to make ghee.
This is the ghee that reduces your cholesterol, keeps your heart healthy, and lubricates your joints. This ghee is said to be very beneficial for your digestion, skin, hair, and all other organs. And Rosier Foods’ ghee is made from the milk of Gir cows, which is considered the best among indigenous cow breeds. So, even if you eat just one spoonful a day, make sure it’s real ghee.
Remember, consistency is key. By following these simple steps, you can achieve radiant, healthy skin.
